My iPhone wont turn on after piece broke off!

Block Image

I was trying to fix my iPhone (Broken screen) but when i lifted up the shield that protects the connectors for the screen this came off and im not sure how. Now my phone will not turn on anymore, I can charge it and I hear noises along with receiving messages and it vibrating. Im not sure what I broke but nothing will turn it on.

Answer this question I have this problem too

That's the screw socket for the center screw on an iPhone 6 flex cable cover.

As far as the power up goes, the phone is turning on. You could have a bad screen, a poorly connected screen, blown backlight filter/diode, blown component in the image line. You could have knocked off any of the tiny capacitors/filers/diodes from around the area of the connections. Long story short, it could be many things. I would start off double checking my connections and a known good screen. The connections should have a solid click feeling when you seat them right. You can also shine a light at the screen to see if the image is there, but not lit. This would tell you if there is an issue with the backlight line.

Hope this helps!
