Honor 6 Plus front glass replacement

Stupidly I managed to break the glass on my Honor 6 Plus while on holiday. I've been quoted almost half the cost of an Honor 7 to replace it.

I can get the glass and tools cheaply, but wondering if it's possible to replace the front glass without dismantling the entire phone. To clarify, the screen and digitiser with perfectly, it's just the outer glass that's broken.
