Unfortunately, older iPods and water do not mix well. Sorry to say, but it could be destined for the electronics graveyard. You may want to put it in rice, but I can't guarantee this will fix the issue. More than likely the mother/logic board was fried, and thus you can either replace that (which I can't guarantee will bring your device back to life) or chuck it and buy yourself a new iPod. :(
