I book G4 logic board
What is the size difference between the Ibook 12 inch and 14 inch logic boards, in terms of fitment in the same case.

The 12" and 14" ibook G4 logic boards are about the same sizes but the 12" has a soldered (to logic board) battery charging system and the 14" has a modular one (connected). The size difference resides in the metal frame that support the logic board. THe 14" has a larger metallic frame and this frame may be specific to his logic board model. If you want to swap a logic board from a 12" model to a 14" or vice versa it can't be done without alterations. If you want to swap a 12" mobo to a 12 different case then most of the time you need the have the logic board installed in his original metallic frame. The 12" 1.33 and the 14" 1.42 won't fit in any other case
