Can I replace the front camera with one from a newer ipad?

So I took apart an iPad 4 recently because it had a broken screen. I got the fancy camera out of it and was wondering if I could replace the one in my iPad 2 with the one that I got out of the iPad 4. Because the camera sucks on the iPad 2.

The short answer is: nope.

Search iFixit spare parts section for iPad 2 and iPad 4 cameras and you'll see the difference. They're not interchangeable for this and other reasons.
