Digitizer Replacement, cannot find part

Ok I have replace digitizers on tablets and phones for a long time now, however upon trying to even locate the part for this unit I come up with the digitizer alone costing over $200.00.

The model T100, the glass is only 30 bucks on ebay, am I missing something in this model, the whole unit brand new is only 300 bucks. Also docking station, there are none available as replacements, can you use a T100 station? (Maybe a t100 digitizer?)

Hi,

This link shows the replacement parts for your device. Scrolling down to the LCD Panel /Touch Screen it gives the Asus part number (18140-11620500) and a stock status of unavailable. Looking at other variations of the T series, like T100 etc. it seems as if the T200TA is the only one where the touchscreen has a 'G' in the description. I'm wondering if this denotes that it is made with Gorilla glass and therefore the big price differential.

According to the link there are keyboards - not complete docks, available for your device. Again the part numbers indicate that they are not compatible between models.

Hopefully this is of some help.

Awesome. Naturally the addition of the this feature which has proven itself to be useless many times over is making maintenance instead of junk cost prohibitive. Brilliant
