Headphones have weak sound.

So when I use my headphones, they seem to create a vacuum inside of my ear, and this vacuum disables the sound to travel in my ears, but the problem is more than that. I have to fidget with my headphones for upwards of an hour to get even one earbud to work, but that is not the odd part. When I try to get the other one to work, I put the non-working one in the ear that the working one worked in(Right in left ear and Left in right ear), to see if it is just how I am putting the non-working one in, but when I do, the sound works in the other ear and not in the one that made the working one work! For example, if I get the Left earbud working, and the right one refuses to cooperate, I put the right one in my left ear and the left one in my right ear, and the ear bud now in my right ear still works great but the one now in my still has an extremely weak sound. Please help!
