Unresponsive Touchscreen. Darker in the bottom left/top right corner.

Hello,

so my Phone had touchscreen response issues but they werent too bad. I thought that it was a problem on the surface of the screen, so I wiped it a few times with my shirt and eventually it continued to work in every spot. Today it fell from the table and now its unresponsive. I took of the connectors that hold the screen, had a look, and put them back on and reassembled the screen. After turning it doesn't respond at all. It now has darker lightning in the bottom left and top right corner. The top right corner had the biggest responsive problems.

What do you guys suggest to do? The screen is not broken though, it just stopped responding. Directly after the fall it working partially. After reassembling it, it does not whatsoever.

I'd say it could have to do with the connectors and not your screen. Try reconnecting the flex cable again and be very careful while re-assembling it.

I did dis- and reconnectthe three connectors that hold the screen and the flex cable near the home button.

Sounds like the drop caused damage to the LCD. The LCD is very fragile. First I would see if the phone is still recognized by iTunes, if it is then you need a new screen. If your doing the repair be very careful when you open the phone because the home button is attached to the motherboard by a ribbon cable. This cable is very easy to rip if your not careful. Follow the guides go slow and get a good quality screen from ifixit
