The phone will not take a charge

This is completely my fault.

Someone hooked my iphone up to computer using USB connector to charge.

I was not paying attention when i tried to physically remove it from the usb. I pulled a little hard on the usb connection until i relaised it was one of the older, press button releasr connetors. Since then, the phone will not take a charge. Is it repairable?
