Why is my iPhone not charging/turning on (yet)?
I decided to finally say screw the stripped screws and took the time to replace my lightning connector of my iPhone 5 about a year and change after it gave out on me. Does anyone from the iFixit staff know what the problem may be? Or might I have to let it charge for a while before it turns on since its been over a year since its been charged and working? Looking forward to hear back from you guys asap, thanks!

ulyssestregrant try it with a charged battery. It is possible that your battery is discharged below a threshold where it will take a charge. Let us know what you get with a charged battery.
