Did you review the IFIXIT Magic Mouse Teardown?

Yes, I can follow the procedures. Although my interest is the removal of the gold ribbon from the plastic top casing. Then reattach it after the color has been reapplied.

How where you planing on cover the plastic? I would just tape the connector part (you don't need to worry about the rest of the sensor) it and spray the top after sanding off the gloss with car paint.

my plan is to only cover the underside of the plastic where ill keep or personally tailor a new logo. Im only concerned about the sensors.... yet how to remove and reapply.

Thank you for your time to respond to my issue at hand.

OK, so you're painting the underside.

I would use denatured alcohol and slowly lift the edge using an eyedropper to drip a drop of alcohol underneath to soften the adhesive as I lift the sensor. You don't want to crease or damage the thin sensor plate as it will kill it. Maybe you'll want to find a junk one to practice on first.

Frankly, I would just paint the outside here, quick and dirty!
