iPod Touch went through washing machine

okay so my mother put it in the washer machine and dryer by accident because it was in my clothes and I didn't know, so when i found it in the dryer i dried it off and plugged it into my iPod dock and it worked it lit up but then i saw like stains on the white part of the behind glass and water under the glass i waited for it to charge then used it a little bit to see that everything was ok with the apps and settings, so i put it in a bag of rice for the night took it out and plugged it back in the dock and it worked but once i took it off the dock when it was charged it turned off so i plugged it back in and it worked when i plugged it in then like the next week it gave me a sign to connect it to iTunes i don't know why and it doesn't work if its not connected to the iPod dock and when connected to dock it only gives me the sign to connect it to iTunes, i don't know whats wrong i just want it to work normally again, help? please and thank you!

Obviously some internal parts have corroded and/or shorted out. You should have opened and dried it out completely before trying to use. Follow the guides to the right and open it and see if anything's salvageable.
