Mac Mini mid-2011 problem Radeon HD6630

Hello to all,

My Mac Mini mid-2011 with Radeon HD 6630M has the same problem that the Imac and Macbook in the same generation.

Indeed it shows me white or blue lines or a black screen.

I Resets the PRAM, disconnect the mac ... same problem.

I launched an Apple hardware test and then I got the following message:

4HDD / 11/40000000: SATA (0.0)

When I remove the hard drive. I still have the same problem on the screen.

And I have no error with the Apple hardware test!

This one can not manage this problem I think.

Do you think Apple may obtain warranty for this problem?

Thank you

Warranty help, no. Apple is not even honoring the 2011 27" recall anymore. They run four years from the date of purchace and it's usually in litigation for the first three. Check out the monitor on another machine to insure its good. I am bit confused with the 4HDD / 11/40000000 error as it;s usually associated with an SSD flash drive. Do you have a different type of hard drive set up?

Hello,

Thanks for your feedback. I could not respond earlier because more mini.

I had an SSD but I put a hard drive and there no error with hardware test. But still the same

problem on the screen.

As the Macbook and iMac of the same generation with AMD chip.

Apple refuses to support. It's not the same problem as for MacBook / iMac. Surreal.

Before throwing in the towel lets see if we can get this system working.

First I would start by replacing the RAM modules. The Radeon HD 6630M also uses system RAM besides the onboard dedicated 256 GB of VRAM. Make sure you are using 1333 MHz PC3-10600 DDR3 SO-DIMMs.

You also appear to have a HD issue as well here. Can you give us the make and model of the drive so we can check it out.

You may also want to check your systems firmware make sure its at least at the level listed here: About EFI and SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Mac computers.
