Replacement optical drive function with Mac OS 10.6.2?

I'd like to replace my broken optical drive with the recommended drive: 12.7 mm PATA 8x SuperDrive, Model # UJ-875.

Will this drive work with Mac OS 10.6.2? Under product details, it says this drive is only compatible with 10.2 - 10.5.

10.6 Most Likely did not exist at the time of the writing, it will work just fine.
