I recently had a pc crash need to get my music off it and on the new computer been trying to transfer music and it freezes and doesnt move at all tried to rip the music off through the hidden file and Media monkey
What can I do?

It turns out if windows thinks there is a hard drive error it will freeze it all I had to do is a hard drive scan fix the errors

try using a different data cable.
does the ipod function ok on it's own?

Did you try moving fewer songs at a time? I know I had a problem like this when I attempted to move my whole lib. at once.
