Right channel does not work. Cable is in perfect condition.

I have a pair of Monster iSport Immersion (cable version of around 2012). The cable as far as I can tell is in perfect condition. The left ear (which is the one with the in-line controls) works perfectly as well as the controls. The right ear suddenly stopped working after I left them unused one hour on the table. I dismantled them (like literally took apart the right ear without of course cutting any cable. It was super easy.) but I cannot see anything wrong. Anyone with experience wants to guess what is happening?

Any help is really appreciated..!!!

So after some multimeter magic, I found out that it's a problem near the jack. Not sure why it happened (as I said the cable looks fine) but if I move the rubber near the jack in a very particular way the right ear starts working again.

@ddouble If it is close enough to the jack, cut the wire at the break and install a new connector
