What if the blue tooth system does not work?
I do not see the bluetooth icon on the screen and my wireless mouse and keyboard do not work.

Go under the Apple in the upper left hand corner to "About this Mac". Go to more info., click on bluetooth and see if your computer sees a bluetooth device. Let us know what you find and we'll proceed.
UPDATE
Since your machine doesn't see the card, you probably need to replace it. Here's the part: [linked product missing or disabled: IF185-011]
