Why is my sander so slow?

I am trying to sand some wood but it is rotating so slow I can barely get the job done.

If your sander is turning on but spinning too slow it may be because it is not connected to the correct power source. This sander needs to be connected to a 120 volt outlet, check your power source to make sure that it is at least 120 volts.

If you are still experiencing problems, it may be due to a problem with the power cord or the motor itself. You can check the troubleshooting page in order to determine which component is giving you problems.
