I was wanting to check if my camera's software is up to date, and if it's not, how do I go about updating it?

You update your software by clicking here, and downloading the latest available firmware from FujiFilm.
The steps to install it are:
Check/confirm your cameras current firmware version.
Prepare a formatted memory card.
Download the firmware and copy it to the card.
Put the memory card with the firmware in the camera and update it.
