Why are silica gel beads falling on carpet and furniture

For two months now silica gel beads have been falling onto my desk right in front of me. It's all over my carpet. Could it be coming from the very cheap ass carpet owner put in? We live in an apt, They fall right in front of my face. Please help

What from the ceiling? If they are falling then they're not from the carpet. Do you have a ceiling fan running? Maybe a heater vent, maybe the ceiling has been reshot and painted. Poltergeists or UFOs are always a distant possibility.
