Getting 4SNS/1/C0000008: Ts0P--124 error

hi guys,

My A1342 Macbook 7.1 Unibody (mid 2010) I got this diagnostic error code:

4SNS/1/C0000008: Ts0P--124

Its probably palm rest temp sensor related. Any idea where it is located / how to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Kris

Here's a good write up on the error codes: How to invoke and interpret the Apple hardware tests

So if we dissect your error: 4SNS/1/C0000008: T s 0P--124

  • 4SNS - System sensor
  • T - Temperature
  • s - Palm rest

So yes you likely have a palm thermal sensor failure! The cause is likely liquid damage seeping under the trackpad or keyboard. Double check the Trackpad connection on the logic board if that doesn't help. You'll need to replace the trackpad.

Hi Dan, thanks for the info but i've tried 3 different trackpad cables with the same result - error remains still.

Not good ;-{ Sounds like you have liquid damage either the keyboard or the logic board will need attention.

I've replaced keyboard already (after liquid spill) but for some reason power on button doesn't work and to turn it on (after shutdown) need to short keyboard connector pins on the logic board...is there anything what can i do? for now, using MacFanControl to slow fan down

Did you find any spillage on the logic board?

Are you sure you replaced the keyboard with the correct version?

well, didn't see anything strange on logic board and keyboard was listed as for this model of Macbook
