Manual 5 speed shifter
I have a 2004 2.2l, 5 speed manual, I can't shift from first to second and 5th and reverse, I removed the shifter, and there is a square piece with a rod that seems to have detached from somewhere... Does anyone know how to fix it, or change the whole thing.

Brandon this is a 2 cable shift link and what has happened is one of your cables is either broke or not adjusted right . look at where the linkage is connected to the gear box and have someone in the car running the shifter through the gears it should be aparent which one needs to be replaced by which one doesnt move. Hope this helps

Already saw this picture, my problem it's under the knob, something or part with a square shape attached to a rod, it's a one part piece, seems to be undue from something... Thanks anyways
