So i am starting kind of a little business where i live by repairing iphones everything has been useful but i got this iphone with a a broken screen, so i wanted to test if it was just the screen so i connected it to a computer to charge it but after 30 minutes it doesn't appear in iTunes so i don't know if the phone works or what else needs to be fixed, is there a way to diagnose that?

I prefer to diagnose using a PC version of iTunes, for Device Manager will tell you of there's even a twitch coming out of the Connector Port when you plug it in. Also, try plugging into a Wall Outlet charger, see if it turns on then. If it does, battery very likely.
That said, there's a good chance the battery is in trouble,

Thanks, i will try that, how can i be certain that it is the battery? i have no spare ones to test it with, and i am on a pc.
