Hi,

First, with the phone off, have you tried removing the battery, leave it out for a minute or two, re inserting it and then turning on the phone and seeing if the WiFi works correctly?

If it now works correctly, by removing the battery you have 'reset' whatever was preventing the WiFi from working properly.

If that didn't work read on.

What happens when you try to turn on the WiFi?

Can you enable the WiFi or is it greyed out?

If you can enable it and it just keeps on searching but not finding or if it is greyed out and you cannot enable it , try backing up your phone, using the phone's backup feature, performing a hard reset, then see if you can turn on your WiFi and that it works properly. (a hard reset will erase all your downloaded apps and user data, it will restore your phone to a factory default condition. It will be like when you first bought it. That is why it is important to do a backup before you do a hard reset)

If the WiFi still doesn't work properly after the hard reset, then you may have a hardware problem and will have to take it to a professional repair service.

If the WiFi works properly then try restoring your phone using the restore feature of the phone.

See if the WiFi still works.

If so, some glitch in the software which prevented the WiFi from working has been reset.

If not perhaps one of your downloaded apps is causing the problem and you will have to determine, a) if this is the case, b) if so, which app is the culprit.
