Dropped iPhone, restore error

I dropped my iphone 3G on the road while walking and it seems dead now.

Wont turn on or go into recovery mode. Only DFU mode works but restoring not possible as I always get error message 1601 in itunes. Tried what Apple recommend- taking off Itunes and resinstalling, including all related programmes but nothing. Tried various computers and also old iTunes version.

Has always been on original software and network provider not unlocked.

What could that be??

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Yes Apple just told me it has been out of warranty for 400 days. To answer any questions they want 29 and if they cant help then another 146 for repair.

Thanks for your answer!
