Why can't my iPhone 6 seem to find service?

Hello,

So my screen wasn't working and I opened up the phone (using all the proper tools) and figured out which cables I had to reconnect better to fix that. Unfortunately, I must have ended up popping out the antenna cable, whichever one that it.

I have an iPhone 6 and really if someone could just tell me which cables are related to the signal to cell towers I would be very happy. Also if there are any steps I need to take to reset my cell signal. I did get something saying "cannot verify server" just now. Thanks for the help!

Try doing a network reset in the settings first.

The only cell antenna you could have touched would be right below the battery connector. You shouldn't have need to pop that antenna out though. Anyways, check that and see if it's seated in. It has a single gold/brass colored connector with a somewhat thin wire running down it.

Did you disconnect the battery before removing the screen?

Also, was your phone bent?

Already did network reset a few times. How I opened the screen was undo pent screws, open it up, undo those five screws for the bracket holding screen wires, and pop them off with the tool. I have done that a few times, sometimes it didn't help so I also undid the battery section, must have shaken loose the antenna wire. Today I tried putting that wire back in with no success.

My phone has a slight bend to it, I would say it is bent. Probably from my pocket.

In addition, I had this crazy idea to put a strip of plastic between the screen cables and the metal bracket and since I have done that I haven't had much trouble with the screen.

I noticed there is a screw hole in the South end of the phone that has a metal mounting with a spot to hold that antenna cable in, wondering how that should be mounted on as well.

Thanks for your support!

Did you straighten out the bend on the phone?

Go into settings>general>about, does it show your IMEI # there?

Also, when you eject the sim card, does it say "No sim" or just keeps saying "searching"?

The mounting plate should just hold the antenna cable in there, nothing special as long as it's not out of it's place.

You could also try replacing the sim card.
