it will not turn on! help! this is the 2nd camera!

when I bought the first camera, I put the batteries in the correct way...then put in the correct film in the correct way...and pushed the on button...and....nothing!! I attempted to take a photo even though the light didn't come on...still nothing!

So i took it back because i figured it was just a faulty camera....

I got the new camera tried it and it doesn't work either!!!

now i feel like something I'm doing is wrong? but i can think of anything else to try.

Hi,

Have you tried different batteries? Try ones that you know work.

If still no good, have you ensured that the film was inserted correctly by lining up the coloured dot on the film cassette to the coloured mark on the camera?

If so, when you turned on the camera did the lens move out and the red light in the viewfinder glow?

If not, (and apologies, I know that you said that you have done all this but sometimes it doesn't hurt to double check), then perhaps you got another faulty unit. It may have even been returned by someone else and was not dealt with properly by the store.

Suggest when you take it back to try the replacement unit in the store, to verify that it works, (at least that it turns on), before you leave,
