My iPod won't turn on, it turns off after the Apple logo

I have this problem just now... at first I thought the battery is leaking, because it drops fast even after you have it charged 100%.

I was recording a recital, and there it went, I just finished recharging it and the battery drops again. As it turned off, I tried to turn it back on. The Apple logo appears and after a minute, everything's blacked out. I thought it was normal so I started pressing buttons.. Nothing happened. I press the switch on button again and the Apple logo again reappears, but it kept switching off every time I tried to switch it on.

Any opinion about this and how to resolve it?

Appreciate it thank you :)

Have you tried to restore/factory resetting the iPod?

If this does not help. The battery is at fault and will need to be replaced.

I had to restore an iPad air with this issue, now its working fine.
