replaced battery, now it won't charge

replaced battery, now when i plug it into ac charger nothing happens

check dock connector no.4 is on properly and screws next to sticker that says "do not remove" as it connects motherboard to battery.

if the connector no. 4 is on properly and the screws good, what next? The battery had 28% when installed and charged a little (up to 30%) then went down and won't charge.

put the old battery (if you still have it) back in and see if it charges. It may be you have a bad battery. Batteries lose 30% capacity to charge per year just sat on a shelf so if you've got a "new" battery that's been on waiting a while to be shipped this may be the problem. Send it back and try a different vendor.

Could it possibly have been only the charging port that was bad and not the battery?
