system won't turn on, and it won't charge.

i'l try to turn the DS on, but it just won't. i tried charging it, but it wouldn't charge. it also had the red screen discoloration before it "Died". I hope i put enough info up for ya.

I hate to say it but you could have a battery issue because my friend had the same thing happen and I told my friend to get a new battery for it so they did and it worked perfectly fine after the new battery was installed.

Not to be rude, but that is not always the case. I had the same problem, and I thought a new battery would fix it, I went through three batteries and nothing worked. When the ds was assessed by a worker at a high-rated place called The Phone Doctor, which specializes in things like these, their search was inconclusive. All the fuses where fine, the battery was fine, and so was everything else.

It is probably a dead battery. I had a DS lite and it had the same symptoms an the battery was very swollen an it would not charge.
