Screen bent back, how to remove frame to fix?

So yea, my MBP was on the coffee table and my 2 year old they a sofa pillow and bent the screen back. Now, the screen will not close down. Well, I can get it to, but its like trying to stuff an overpacked suitcase...effort is needed. Also, once I pop the latch, the screen shoots open due to the tension.

Is there anyway to SAFELY remove the screen and surrounding frame so that I can bent it back into shape? I

I suggest you first use this guide to remove the display assembly and take it apart, if the parts are simply out of alignment then reassembling it should fix your issue. If when taking it apart you notice a part is broken or appears to be, gives us an update and we'll set you up with the parts you need.
