What version of iPod Classic do I have and will this work?

I have an ipod Classic 160, but I do not know if it is thick or thin. The site generation tool here is not useful as my serial number is not listed and starts with a "Q". The ipod says "SRV V.0126 Dec 9 2009."

I would like to install a Samsung 840 EVO mSATA. Is it possible? What else would I need besides a new battery.

Thank You

@rusty54 you could use a kitchen scale and weigh your iPod The "thick" is ~5.7ounce's/163g and the "thin" is ~4.9 ounce's/137g. Check your serial number on this site and see what it tells you.

@oldturkey03 After being on the site, I noticed that I may have what some call a "Classic 2nd Generation. I base that on my bio showing Dec 9 2009 and I purchased about 2014. Am I correct? So is it thin or thick?

If it shows 2009 it is most likely a thin

Thanks oldturkey03. Do you have any idea if a Samsung EVO 1TB mSATA can be installed? I have no interest in a 128GB Touch.

Sorry, you are wrong! It is a Classic 160 that I purchased from Apple.
