tv wont stay on
My Emerson Hdtv will not stay on. When I turn it on it will stay on from 1 sec to 3 min. then goes back off.
Is this a good question?

Check the capacitors in the power supply board to see if any of them is damaged.
Change the damaged (as well as the others connected in parallel with it) with other(s) of the same capacity and voltage. If you can't find the exact replacement part, other capacitor of the same capacity but larger voltage will do the trick.

thanks Felix will look into that what does a capacitor look like its been along time since I played with this stuff...
