Hi Elizabeth,
There are tons of different fixes for different jackets—it all depends on the type of material your jacket is made of. A rain jacket with mesh lining would require a different fix than a down jacket, for instance.
Take a look at some of the jacket guides on iFixit, and see if you can apply any of these repairs to your own jacket. If you let us know what type of material your jacket is, we'd be happy to offer more specific advice.
