iMac OS 10.5 dvd on this iBook?

Can I use my iMac's OS 10.5 installation disk on my iBook? It is the gray disk version.

That's what I thought, but, needed to hear it from someone else who maybe had more experience than I. Can't find an upgrade disk that's cheap either.

No you would need a retail version. Most of the gray disks are machine specific with the exception of the e mac disks. If you already have 10.4 on it, you can use the upgrade disk to save some $.

Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard requires:

A Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or Power PC G4 (867 MHz or faster) processor

512 MB memory or more

A DVD drive for installation

9 GB of available disk space or more

Some features require a compatible Internet service provider
