iMac OS 10.5 dvd on this iBook?
Can I use my iMac's OS 10.5 installation disk on my iBook? It is the gray disk version.
Is this a good question?

No you would need a retail version. Most of the gray disks are machine specific with the exception of the e mac disks. If you already have 10.4 on it, you can use the upgrade disk to save some $.
Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard requires:
A Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or Power PC G4 (867 MHz or faster) processor
512 MB memory or more
A DVD drive for installation
9 GB of available disk space or more
Some features require a compatible Internet service provider
You can find some high priced versions here: http://fastmac.com/osx.php

That's what I thought, but, needed to hear it from someone else who maybe had more experience than I. Can't find an upgrade disk that's cheap either.

The best place to find a cheap upgrade disk for 10.5 is eBay. If you don't find what you need, click on my icon and email me, I have three.
