Options

2 superdrives fail

The superdrive on my MBP 2.4 15" doesn't read all the media so I bought a new one on ebay but this one accept disks but doesn't read it or eject.

I've already tried cmd+e or terminal commands or start and press the mouse button.

Any suggestions? Do you think I have to try another new drive?

Options

Due to my inherent skepticism of computer parts from eBay, I would try a different drive If that doesn't fix your problem, it's possible that it's the optical drive cable.
