Clean screen contacts on motherboard

How to clean the contacts on the motherboard of a iPhone 5c? The phone works, but not the screen. This is a new screen with all the components. I have cleaned them 2 times, but still won't come to life. Can I use contact cleaner? If so, witch one? Also thinking about using my sonic clearer. Using distilled water with no cleaning agent. Any ideas how to energize the screen?

I would use 90% isopropyl alcohol. Might not be your contacts, though. Could just be your new display assembly. Is your old one in working condition, so you can rule out the new display assembly?

The old screen shows corrosion where the wires run into the screen . How does one remove the covers on the motherboard? The problem is, the phone had a cover on it and I lost it in a sump. When I recovered it, it was covered in red clay mud. iTunes sees it, my wifi router sees it . You may be right, there maybe a short some place. I'll take it a part and clean the contacts once more using alcohol and a toothbrush. Use a magnifying glass to see if there's any issues .

Thanks for the reply.
