MacBook shuts off when opened after logic board replacement
Strange issue I'm having. I can clearly hear the MacBook power on (I do get sound though telling me it's powering on.), I know it's powered on (I get a sign in thing from google saying I signed into it).
Yet when I "open" the MacBook the light on the front goes off. The fans are still running, but no video or anything else. When I close the MacBook that light goes back on.
Battery is charging, so it seems everything is working.
Any ideas?
Update (02/14/2016)
Found the problem. The backlight cable was not seated properly onto the logic board. After pressing it down completely the backlight then worked fine.
Thanks for the help though!!
Is this a good question?

So your getting no backlight on the screen right? Shine a flashlight on the screen at an angle, are you getting your OS image?

I'm actually at the main menu. I can see everything if I shine the light. As if the backlight isn't powered on. Also the trackpad isn't working...

Just to be clear here you have the lid open and you power the system up. The display lights up and you hear the startup Bong. You then see the Apple logo and you get to your desktop no problems!
Now you close the lid the sleep indicator LED is lit and then you open the lid only this time the display is dark. You can shine a flashlight into the display and see a faint image of your desktop. Is that correct?
The details matter here! Make sure we understand what is happening and when.
