Error 50 or -1 when I tryed to recover the phone
Hello, I bought a used iPhone 5S on eBay in a good condition. I received the phone and tryed to activate it over iTunes and internet but it doesn't worked. The activation failed because of the not reached activate server).
So I decided to recover the phone. All seems good until the process bar reached the end of the Apple logo. The process bar stucked and I got the error 50. After some minutes the iPhone turnes off and since then I only see the iTunes logo if i start the phone.
I reinstalled iTunes and all other 3rd party software, cleaned the registry with CCleaner, used another Lightning cable and turned off my anti virus software but without sucess.
So I installed iTunes on my 2nd PC and tryed it out. On this PC I got error code -1.
Here I setup the DFU mode but its not better.
I read that maybe the baseband chip is faulty but in iTunes I can see the serial number.
Does anyone know what I can do or is the phone broken? I think I can't blame the seller because it worked as i received the phone. :(
Is this a good question?

Try a restore without a SIM card in it first, however it sounds like a hardware issue to me. Look at other iFixit forums as this is not a new problem.

Hey Sam, I tryed it with and without sim card but nothing. I can't find any issue for this error code. Only error 53 and 1 (without minus) are common.

Error 53 commonly seems to creep up related to error 51, the hardware fault with Touch ID being incompatible. However, error (-1) is often fixed by downloading your ipsw file through the Internet, then restoring this by clicking shift on iTunes when pressing restore. It is also important to understand the difference between recover mode and DFU as we will need it to be in DFU. There's a YouTube video on DFU mode here http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bITIiGswjFI
Hope this helps! Have you tried contacting the seller?

In DFU mode I can't select a downloaded .ipsw, only the downloaded version from apple. If I select the self downloaded .ipsw, iTunes say that the version is not compatible with my phone but it's the same version as the iTunes download version.
I think that I can't do anything against the seller because it worked until I decided to restore it. Now it seems to be a piece of dump.
Here is the update log from iTunes: http://pastebin.com/CUR18Z1z
