external speaker and headphone jack doesn't work after replacement?

I replaced my iPhone 5S battery but when I was opening the screen the second time to make sure everything was ok, I opened it a little too hard and ripped the touch ID cable, which I know is bad and I will never be able to get touch ID back, but I've accepted that and moved on. My problem now is that the internal speaker works fine, but the external speakers don't work and neither do headphones when I put it in the headphone jack. How is this possible? PLEASE HELP

THANK YOU

Just to make sure, is the phone charging? could be a faulty charge port flex or not plugged back into the main board correctly.

yes, it's charging, but now the sound works with headphones plugged in, but the sound only comes out of the left ear and i tested it with multiple headphones

If you can, i'd probably suggest disconnecting the charge port flex and trying another one (if you can) i know its not ideal but probably the best way to eliminate the charge port flex as the issue.

Hi Leili

Graig is right it is most likely headphone jack is damaged and disconnects the speaker and microphone. If you could change that it may work. Be careful with your touch ID if you update your software with itunes Apple will brick your phone because the home button is not the original one. You will get error 53 and cannot use your phone any more.
