Error 53, torn touch ID cable

Hi.

I broke my screen and tried to repair it myself. Unfortanetly I managed to torn the touch id cable in two. I could use it for a while but after upgrading the phone I get this error 53. Is there someway to fix this and is it possible to fix the cable perhaps?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Are you sure it is that cheap? They wanted like 300 to fix the screen.

yeah sure other people here can confirm that normally.

maybe 300 for full screen but you only need home button.

Hi Henric

You can try to replace the long cable and it may work after that.

If you have damaged the home button you need to replace it with apple, but the long flex cable is not a problem to replace and it may work. Try it and let me know please.

Hope this help

Thanks

Hi.

I bought a new button and a cable, but changing them wont probably work. The problem is that both sides teared, the cable on the touch button and the long cable.

If both of them are broken then you need to contact Apple to get it sorted. Sorry
