MacBook Pro suddenly not booting.

Hey guys, my MacBook Pro, suddenly stopped opening applications and wouldn't log off or shutdown. I forced shut down, but when I tried to reboot, it turned off as soon as the fans turned on. I kept trying and now I get to the spinning logo.

I tried the hard drive on a different laptop, and it worked just as it should. I went to disk utility and tried to repair and verify but nothing needed repairs. Booting it in verbose, I get disk0s2 error and shortly afterwards this:

Sandbox: Authd(273) deny file-write-create /private/var/folders/zz

Thanks in advance

Sounds like the hard drives SATA cable has failed. Try using your drive externally using a FireWire or USB connection. Is it able to boot up?

Hmm, unfortunately, my laptop still is not able to finish the boot process with the hard drive on a usb. The recover partition looks like it's booting with the bar, but it just freezes around 3/4 of the way through. Any other recommendations?

50% of the time a bad HD/IR cable will destroy the hard drive. Disconnect the drive and cable and see if it will boot from the original 10.6.3 system installation disk.

No, the Mac won't even boot with a cd. Any other suggestions?

Are you running windows , bootcamp with this?

No, I was just running the Mac OS. I cant even boot through the cd, without having it have a "kernel panic" I believe. After trying to boot off the cd for a couple of minutes, it goes to a grey screen with a large power logo telling me to shut off the laptop
