Replacement screen glitches after android startup-logo

Hi there,

Today I tried replacing my cracked screen with one I bought on Ebay (screen + frame). Using a YouTube video installation went fine. I closed the phone back up and Lord and behold, the android startup animation pops up.

My happiness did not last long because right after the startup animation was done, the homescreen flickered for one ms and then went black. The colours that I could see were messed up aswell..

I opened the phone again and made sure all connectors were placed correctly, and they were.

Did I do something wrong here or did I receive a faulty screen? I find it particularly strange that the startup sequence has no errors whatsoever.

I hope you guys can be of some help to me!

Thanks

Ps. I made a video to showcase the problem: https://gfycat.com/FaroffFlusteredBantam...

Turns out the screen was indeed faulty. I put everything back into the cracked frame and screen works fine. Turns out the screen wasn't cheap for no reason...

The best thing to do in this situation if you haven't already would be to check the connectors for the screen and digitizer . Try cleaning them with 99% isopropyl and a fine toothbrush to ensure no impurities are causing a poor connection . If not then the LCD itself may be damaged and you have yourself a faulty screen .

As for it not happening on startup im not 100% sure but i have seen this before and think it may be caused depending on which colors need to be displayed on certain parts of the lcd that may be damaged . Or could be caused by bad digitizer and the touch / Digitizer driver isn't loaded until you reach the main lock screen which then causes this issue .
