LCD - Worked fine after replacement - Now Boots to black

I have scoured the web looking for potential fixes for this issue but nothing has worked so far.

My old LCD was displaying with a large black bar running down the middle of the screen so I ordered a new LCD unit and replaced my old one.

Upon first boot up everything was working fine, and the black bar was gone. Yay!

I shut down the laptop and a few days later when I tried to boot it up again, the computer starts up normally (boot chime, keyboard back-light working) but the screen is just black.

Checked to see if the screen back-light was blown by shining a light through the logo but nothing showed. Possible the new LCD unit just died?

Yes, it's possible that it did die, but I would open it and check the display to logic board connection and reseat it. What was your part source?

I will try and re-seat the connections on the logic board. I ordered the replacement LCD off Amazon. Might contact them for a replacement for the one that died I suppose.

Amazon can be a clearing house for lots of little companies. Check who it actually came from. Anyway you should be able to send it back.
