iPhone 5S or 6 screen vs homebutton

Hi

Does anyone know if its okay to replace a homebutton with fingerprint scanner with another USED original button. (from bricked 5S)

Will this Work ?

+ is there an issue regarding if I want to replace a screen with another used original screen. Will this also Work or be affected by new softwares (or is it only the button/fingerprint scanner) ?

Please no guesswork - just want to know if anyone has really tried it with success on newer softwares.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Touch ID sensors are NOT replaceable whatsoever. Doing so inevitably breaks Touch ID on all devices and bricks the phone altogether when reflashes iOS on devices that support Apple Pay. There is no way you can make it work.

As with most components, the home buttons are different, the 5S Touch ID will not fit on the iPhone 6 screen. With a broken Touch ID sensor you will never gain Touch ID functions again. Phones only become bricked during a software update if the original Touch ID scanner is not in the phone. I've not done a screen replacement on newest software and tried a restore, but have had many customers update and no one has come back with any problems!

Hope this helps

I ripped my home button ribon, so a replacement one obviously won't work. But what if:

Use the same model iPhone, add your fingerprint, than remove this home button (with your fingerprint) and place it to your iPhone (which requires touch id and which had your fingerprint before). Will it work this way? Does anyone check this option?
