New screen, quick blue screen and boot loop, no screw issue. DOA?

Hi there people, I have tried to search the forums here and after getting a new 5s screen from ifixit and making sure I watched the videos before attempting anything which helped as things changed since I had previously replaced two screens on my 4s I now have a common problem. I understand that the 4 screws for the shield are very specific and even went so far as verifying them with a caliper before reinstall, I now get about 15 seconds of the apple logo then a quick flash of a solid blue screen and then it all repeats again. I have verified that I did not damage the mobo traces as I put in my old cracked screen and it booted up fine as normal and with the new screen again it keeps going through the boot cycle/ quick blue screen.

Along with carefully making sure the ribbon cables were not tugged on or damaged along with the connectors themselves could this possibly be a DOA screen?

I appreciate any answers regarding this from the helpful community.

It could, but doesn't sound like it. Sorta. This is a problem that can occur, when frequently changing displays on a phone. This is solve able buy putting the phone into dfu and doing a restore. I'm inclined to believe this is the case, because you're saying the other screen works. If this doesn't take, then yes. I would exchange the display assembly for a new one

Well DFU restore seemed to get the screen working.

Sad thing is now the touch control on this screen is janky as heck. Finger presses sometimes recognized sliding to unlock sometimes works and I seem to be getting the odd random button presses coming up when the keyboard is open.

Sounds to me like you've got a faulty display assembly. Try exchanging it
