Why does my sega genesis have sound but no video?

I've used two different AV cables so far and in both cases I have gotten sound but can't get anything to pop up on the screen, no video at all. I have a sega genesis model 2. Can anyone help?

There are a few possibilities. Always go with the easiest. And work your way down. First make sure you are on the correct channel. You already stated that is not the cord so maybe it can be the port which is faulty and needs to be soldered. Also make sure it isn't the por on the tv side. Try another tv. I hope this helps with your issue
