iPhone 4s battery connector, pads and track separated from board

Hi Jessa,

Hope everything is going well for you.

I am in trouble with an iPhone 4S and your thoughts would be very helpful to me.

The battery connector was separated from the logic board among with the two central pads and part of it’s track.

My question is:

What is the most appropriate solution for this case? I have thought two different solutions as follow:

1- Make a jumper with a small copper wire. The problem is that even the thinner wire would be thicker for this solution

2- Re make the track and the pad with copper past because the track is completely visible. This method seems to me more adequate, but I could find online how to use this kind of paste.

Your thoughts would be great.

Thanks in advance!

andreirigoyen looks like soldering a small wire from the battery to the components and thus bypassing the broken traces should work. Id stay away from any circuit writer pen. It usually takes a lot of practice and most likely turns into a mess. Fix it once and fix it right:-)

How can I reconnect the battery terminal wire to battery board

with a soldering iron, jumper wire, and the old connector. You can glue the connector initially for some stability, but then you'll need to microsolder the connector to make electrical connections to all the places it needs to go
