iPhone gets hot while charging, but won't turn on
So my iPhone 5s fell into my cup of dr. Pepper when coming to a quick stop while driving. Since then it hasn't worked. I opened it up and gave it a bath in alcohol and cleaned it up with a toothbrush. Put everything back together and now it just sits there getting hot while plugged in to power, but it won't turn on. Also it is not detected by the computer at all. Can't get any charging indicator to come up on the display. Any ideas? I tried the power button/home button reset method, no dice. I'm afraid my logic board is fried, but the fact that it is heating up seems to me to indicate some signs of life. Could it still be a dead logic board? What are the likely culprits for this?
Is this a good question?
