computer running extremely slow and shuts off, logic board bad?

Computer had been running extremely slow for a while and now randomly shuts off. Sometimes comes on but doesn't display anything. I was told by someone my logic board may need replacing, but its an older model. Not worth it? Are there used parts for sale?

Most used parts can be found here and on ebay or amazon. best to diagnose the problem correctly before throwing parts at it. Hard drives tend to slow things down as they begin to fail . A failing power supply can cause the shut downs , Ram can also cause some of your issues. we can better serve you if you tell use the year and model of your iMac . A serial # helps as well or go here and input you serial number and bring back your info
